Tastas pride and joy, the honey is a product of black Sicilian bees, an endangered species. The bees are bred at San Marco d’Alunzio, a small town in the Nebrodi mountains at 500 m above sea level: the environment and climate make this place perfect for the bees, also because of the distance from cities and industrial areas. The honey is available as Millefiori, Castagno and Sulla.

This chestnut honey is one of the darkest honeys, its colour is a very intense brown. The smell is often described as pungent and very strong. The taste reflects its odour, and it often is defined as a little bitter and incisive.
